Everything you see is 100% handmade by me in my little basement studio in Michigan. I am completely self-taught and I am a one-woman show...from buying supplies, to coming up with new designs, learning new techniques, preparing for shows, packaging & mailing orders, website building, and running social media accounts.
After a car accident in 2011 I wasn't able to return to work and I started making beaded jewelry for something to do. I started doing a weekly artisan market in 2014 and the Lucky Lark was born. I quickly got sick of beads and taught myself metal stamping, resin pouring, and experimenting with different patinas & metal finishing. That branched into working with a torch & a jeweler's saw and riveting layers & pieces together. Most recently, I've been working on silver smithing and learning soldering and stone setting and I am excited to keep growing those skills.
I can't believe I have been lucky enough to sell my art for 6 years. I love being a part of the small business maker community and am so grateful for my family and friends supporting me in every possible way (especially to my parents for always being wiling to babysit on market days, and putting up with my studio mess in their basement), and all my amazing customers who have made this possible.
